About Our Legal Clinic
We are a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We are not part of Legal Aid Ontario: we are a separate, community-based non-profit corporation.
We provide people living on a low income in Elgin County, Oxford County, Oneida of the Thames First Nation, Chippewa of the Thames First Nation, and Munsee-Delaware First Nation, with free legal services for certain problems. Learn more about how we can help.
We can:
- give you legal advice
- help you fill out forms
- represent you at some tribunals and courts
- refer you to other agencies when we can’t help
A community-based board of directors is responsible for setting the strategy and providing oversight for our community legal clinic.
Free Legal Services
All services we provide are free. However, sometimes we have to pay for things needed to help you with your case: for example, a doctor’s report or court filing fees. If you can afford it, we will ask that you pay us back for those expenses.
